A Note & Vote is a quick way to gather ideas from the team and make a decision in around 10 minutes. It’s a great alternative to the Dot Voting method, especially if your team has a strong leader who could unintentionally influence voting.

Directions:

Time: 3 min
Activity: Individual

1. Everyone should write down their vote on a sticky note.
2. Put all the votes up on a whiteboard.
3. If there’s still more than one winning solution, you could move to another method (like a Rumble or All-In-One).
4. Or you can go around the room and have each person call out their their favorite from the winning solutions. Mark their vote with a dot on the corresponding note.
5. If there is still not a clear winner, the facilitator can help discuss where the disagreements are and help build consensus.
